How to love
Aktualisiert: 31. Juli 2019
Love itself is a universal feeling - although the term may be used and misused by some folks. The Meeting of Styles gathers multiple artists of different cultural backgrounds - and if you ask anyone about LOVE I am sure there will be a great overlap of understanding. An understanding that is found in ancient poetry already, and that will always be found in any form of human arts as long as mankind is creating.
Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors. But today we kneel only to truth, follow only beauty, and obey only love.

Nando is in many ways extraordinary. First in his love for people! And also in his lifestyle: Can you imagine an artist like him not being on Social Media? So keep his nickname #57 in my mind - you might stumble on it wandering around the streets of some Italian towns, or anywhere in the world! You just won't be lucky finding him on the internet. For he prefers meeting you on the streets, connecting eye to eye, heart to heart.
As we can hear in the video the picture shows a boy called Melik. A name meaning nothing less than "king". What a good intention of the parents, wanting to raise a king in their home. An intention that more than anything demands you to obey love.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
(Khalil Gibran, On Children, from The Prophet)
Thank you for coming to Mainz-Kastel, Germany, with all your love, Nando!
